tvik Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 My 01 outback kept dying yesterday. I was driving and the car jolted and tach instantly dropped to 0 rim. I cranked it over and it would not turn over. I wait a bit and it starts. I changed the fuel pump relay and fuel pump and it stays constant at idle but when I put it in gear it'll die at random times the same way. It jolts like when you drop the clutch and the car lunges then turns off. I need help with any ideas. Tested the fuel pump after installing it when it was priming and it was 12 volts.
