mfa_mad_pig
So my 84 gl wagon doesn't have a center console and I was wondering if a console from an 82 brat will fit? Not sure if they're the same or not.
buckkiller
As far as I have seen they are almost identical other than the wagons sometimes have armrest and a rear ash tray Buck

skishop69
The console is different, but could be made to work with some modification. The radio console is different on wagons vs Brats. It's different at the bottom where it meets the center console. Angles, mounts and such. It would be easier to get the radio and center console from a Brat and install it. Of course, finding them is going to be harder than finding one for a wagon so finding the wagon console would be easiest.
pksjeep
I think the 2 wheel drive verses the 4 wheel driveare different. The Brat is a 4wd car, if yours is a 4wd car, I think it wouldinterchange. You may also have some electric window switches that need to bemounted. You would also be missing the rear seat ash tray.
buckkiller
Dude they are the same from a wagon/hatch/or brat gl to gl or DL to dl
skishop69
I've got 2 down in the shop I snagged to convert for head units and they are both different from my Brat. They were both from thrashed cars at the PnP so it's possible it's like PK said, 2wd vs 4wd. I didn't look at the cars since I was there for something else and it was an after thought. Anyone got a wagon and a Brat they can check?
kayoteq
I've got some floor parts from a blue 80-84 automatic wagon, 4wd. Don't have the radio/dash part, I gave it away to someone. You might consider also the rear part of the console from a 85-up wagon, just have to anchor the rear a bit, thread the belt latches through. Planning to put some toys in there with all the room the belts normally go. Armrest is nice.
turbosubarubrat
There is the one piece style console both in manual/auto Then there is this 2 piece console manual and auto(which i couldn't find a pic of) and the rare slant console
