kirzick
I'm buying a 91 loyal to make into a Wheeler. It currently has a 5spd pushbutton 4wd. I have a 4spd duel range out of a 84 gl I'd like to put in the loyal. How would I go about it? And yes I've tried searching. I know a 5spd duel range would be better but it's what I have. Thanks all. LPGsuperchargedBrumby
driveshaft length is different....4spd D/R box is longer than the 5spd box......you may have to play with the gearbox mounts....i ran a 5spd FT4WD D/R on ea81 4spd D/R mounts but i seem to remember it was it a fight to get things to fit/line up
Gloyale
How would I go about it? Bolt it in. The mounts shold land close enoguh to just put a few new holes in the crossmember. Fabricate a D/R shifter...... Use the 4spd one piece driveline. Then when you break the 4spd, which you will........Get a 5spd D/R and put all your 5spd stuff back in.
