So this will be my first post, my first forum, my first subaru yep im a virgin here goes 



For a long time now ive had a liking for Subarus, finally after my last car dieing a Toyota cressida mx83 i decided to go out and buy one this is what i got.

Subaru Liberty Spec b
Symmetrical AWD
6 cyl 3.0 litre boxer engine making 180Kws 297 nms
6 speed sti manual gearbox
Leather interior
13 speaker sound system
18 inch alloys 
Bilstein suspension
Subaru momo steering wheel
full electrics
climate control
electronic brake force distribution


my questions are,

what problems have you come across

What should i look out for

What is the best way to maintain my beast (interior exterior Engine)

What mods have you done what mods should i do

Things i should know about my car

And any other general info you can inform me on

Nice, wish they offered the 6 cylinder with a manual in the US.


Solid car, follow the recommend Maintenance schedule and enjoy your new Subaru.

On the 6 cylinder, 3.0 motor, the cams are chain driven, not timing belt driven like most 4 cylinders. So, no concern about breaking or need to replace the T/B. In the U.S. the 3.0 motor has a good quality reputation.


With the leather interior, it is important to keep the leather well oiled to prevent dry out cracking. Don't let liquid spills dry on the leather seats, best to clean up immediately.
