new here, need expertise, want to do a 90 2.2l for legacy into 98 impz 2.5l swap both

hi i am new here, i am looking at getting a 98 impz wrx and want to put my 90 legacy sedan 2.2l turbo into it and vs versa, the 2.5l into the 90 legacy, both standard, what am i looking at? possible? thanks, sorry if its be said before but i couldnt find it here.

There would be huge compatibility problems swapping motors. The wiring and computer control systems are so very different. None of it would be plug and play.

yeah, after reading last night and questioning the guy its only a 98 impreza non turbo 2.2l in it, with 450,000 km for $1000.00 going to look at it but not even close to being worth $1000 in my books, my 91 legacy turbo sedan beats it down, thanks for the heads up and answearing my question.
