Naw_speed Posted May 18, 2014 Share Posted May 18, 2014 What's up people's New to the subaru platform but not tuning. Just bought a 2000 Impreza L "auto" for $1300 bout a month ago. Needed a 4door daily for the new baby. Guy I got it from said the trany was going out, AC didn't work, and the SES light was on. He wanted $2500 for the car but, I told him with the trany issue and no AC it would cost me at least a $1000 to get things in order. Obviously took it. Needless to say on the way home with the car there was a loud grinding noise from the RR. So there was another idem on the list. Repair list so far: Grinding noise RR - $45 hub bearing & one busted knuckle AC Inop "would work for 15min then cut off" - $80 condenser fan & 6 pack of Rollin Rock SES light on - $15 knock sensor & BG fuel induction service Small coolant leak from upper rad hose - hose clamp "free" Future mods & Maintenance: Timing belt kit w/water pump Coilovers "cause the struts are blown" 16x8 Rota slipstreams With the new baby and a heavily modified 91 240sx this car is gonna stay pretty basic for now...
