Okay I'm EXHAUSTED...... and I need to get this out here to at least check it latter this week.....so.

Who was it that did the EA82 Wagon liftkit with the D/R 5spd?

Reason asked is what specifically did you have to do to the shifting arms to get it out of 4WD?

Currently I have 1,2 and 4th in 4Hi or 4Lo.

So we drove it home in 4th slowly and safely.

{Calebz inside joke starts here) Man the heighth is rather fun and all even in the drive home.

Things to deal with yet:

Adjust the exhaust system so its not hard up against the rear frame bar and hitch assembly.

The new Intake design to be installed(super cheaply for now)

New vacuum hoses to adapt around turbo and the breather hoses too.

New feul lines to be extended.

Swap the XT6 suspension onto the wagon after i get back from http://www.burningman.com

What was it in a week or so retorque all the bolts down right?

I hope Brian G. is duing great nowadays, he's who I got this kit from last november time-window. Got just over 20 pictures will download them tomorrow i think or tuesday then post them to the folder i have nothing in over at msn.

hehehehe strong working air ride and the 3" lifekit went together fine and dandy! YEt again a Mega kudo's to PKDavis!

I wonder if he thought of allowing authorization of a windshield vynol of the Ozified pirate flag for our car's or not?

Thanks again Caleb[z] for the help and the patience and the place to do it...... I mean it about that "Rain cheque" too.

Aaarrggggg!!!!

HEIGHT! HEIGHT! HEIGHT! DAMMITT!!

You're welcome. It was fun and educational. The guy I was referring to with the lifted 87 was the other Caleb(subrina7).

The wagon looks sweet .. well except for the dinky little tires:lol:

I still have the tallest Soob in collin county though.:P

Glad you made it home ok.. Was thinking.. that funny noise we heard was probably the exhaust rubbing on the moustache bar.

Now that we are lift installation experts, we need to do mine.;)

I remebered after you left, that in a pinch, I replaced some of my breather hoses with 5/8 inch silicone heater hoses..was supposed to be temporary, but its worked out so well that I will probably replace the rest of them too.

Thanks for the kudos.

Air ride? - COOL!

I have some decals now - email me your addy, and I'll get two in the mail for you. They are the Kangaroo/Ozified style, blue/yellow on white - look good on front fender like SubaruTex.

The Jolly Rooger <img src="http://ozified.com/skullsubeicon.jpg"/> is in for a bit for refinement before decalmania. r/ PK.

This was on a 92 wagon with a retro'd D/R 5spd. My tranny came with the shifter linkage rod (betwean shifter and the tranny itself)installed upside (180 degrees)down at the tranny and prevented the tranny from shifting betwean 4wd and fwd

Maybe not your problem but I had interference issues with my 3" BYB kit. I had to lower the tunnel brace(just behind the tranny) by an inch(Square tube welded to the stock brace) to keep it, the driveshaft and the shifter from crashing together under hard throttle changes. I also shimmed the center bearing of the driveshaft down.

PS Be carefull of the big suction fuel line betwean the tank and pump if it's pulled tight. It's likely old and crusty and can tear enough to suck air without you knowing it. Cost me a $60 tow home before I found the hole because it made enough pressure to start the car but not to run it

Good Luck

part 1 for PKDavis = you have mail dude.

part 2 for bythesea = have saved this to the desktop for playing with later today....

thanks and parting note for calebz

the steering knuckle was welded 180 off on the lower joint from what was on the car sooooooo i just needed to have it line up on the other groove.

so now off to the muffler shop to have them adjust the exhaust for the lift.
