idosubaru Posted June 26, 2014 Author Share Posted June 26, 2014 that's a good call to check. smallest available is 2.00mm in increments of 0.02mm thereafter up to 2.81mm. i ground this one down from 2.42 to 2.20mm. the others were 2.32mm, this one was a fatty. idosubaru Posted June 27, 2014 Author Share Posted June 27, 2014 The bucket is seated properly and all that? looked normal, valve train rotated normal, and seemed like same clearance when pressing to remove shims. engine has zero issues, has run flawlessly for the past 100,000 miles i've owned it. so i'm guessing it's all good, but i didn't specifically check.
