dlausche
I have a 95 legacy LSi with ABS. The ABS modulator/pump is leaking and will need to be replaced. I am fairly sure I will be able to replace this myself but am unsure how to bleed the air out of the new modulator. Is this something that can be done in a home shop or are specialty tools/equipment needed to bleed the modulator? I think the ABS modulator/pump is the Nippon 2E model. Thanks -Deon
lmdew
Are you looking for a used unit? I pulled a motor from a 95 Legacy and the ABS was in good shape, only 52K on the car. Let me know if you want me to pull it, I could get it WED. I believe the yard gets $75 for them and another 20 would cover shipping. Setright
You will need a dealer tool to bleed it. Basically, you attach the thing, bleed the brakes per normal, and then use the "tool" to force the ABS pump to cycle as if it was active. Then bleed again...and again.... why isn't there a bleed screw on the unit??
