arklan
hi everyone my name is matt, im from perth australia i joined the forum to use the search function so i can learn about the coefficient of drag that imprezzas and legacys have i was googling for the best awd car that there is and google said the imprezza and legacy every time i am an electric car enthusiast and i want to make a "getaway" car, something that would be really good at getting away from the cops i dont mean actually in a bank job or anything but i mean handling, accelleration etc, something that would be really good as a rally car for those tight turns and agility so iv got the electric part down pat (in the process of getting a suzuki hatch up to scratch as a town runabout, hideous creature it is) so im here now in my quest to learn more for my final decision about which one to go with, legacy or imprezza they both weigh about the same, but i think the imprezza has a better CoD subaru makes the best awd in the world and it has to be able to handle the torque of a dc electric motor 2 warp9s at 1000amps is going to put out 310nm if i give it some pedal and have a max kw rating of 300kw so im trying to figure out what my options are so yeah thats me and ill be using the search function more than contributing also my aunty has never had anything other than subarus so my family is well versed with them
arklan
iv learned that the only way to go with the numbers I have is wrx sti wrx running gear wont be able to handle the torque and neither would a legacy gt iv also learned that lowering it (to reduce drag and centre of gravity) is a no go aswell as these cars r designed to run at the specific heights sti is heaps expensive compared to wrx :/ next is to find out if its just the 6speed tranny that makes the sti better or if the diffs and driveshafts r upgraded aswell
