Stevo F Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 When going to charge my cell phone today I realized that the 12V lighter plug in our 2005 OBS doesn't work (tried 2 different working cell phone chargers). Never one of these go bad before- unlikely it's got its own fuse. Any other likely culprits or can you just buy another plug and wire it in? 1 Lucky Texan Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 well, there is a 'general' fuse but, on the back of the port itself, there is a fuse/overheat cut-out so, the fuse in the fuse block could be good and still have a dead port. Fairtax4me Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I made a cheap light bulb tester for those sockets. It's a cheapo plug and a 194 wedge bulb socket from the auto parts store. Plug it in and if the light comes on then its getting power.
