seeker Posted October 1, 2014 Share Posted October 1, 2014 A friend of my bought an 85 brat drove it for a few weeks and it just quit. Rather than fix it hes just gonna get rid of it or if i can fix it its mine! I went over everything found a blown coil fuse and a blown fusible link, i fixed those but kept blowing links. Come to find out the alternator is bad. We have fuel intermittently, spark, and power. The fuel pump doesnt seem to do anything while cranking but if you pull the coil fuse and go to put it back in itll kick on for a second. We cant get it to start at all even with starting fluid. Is there anything im missing? The alternator is unhooked, the ecs and egr lights are on on the dash and the little black box under the bash has a red light on.
