Suitua
Hello, it's my first post here on USMB. Apparently I have a bad inner CV joint on the front right side CV axle. I was wondering if you can take the whole axle from a 89 carbed Loyale (I think its GL) and swap it into my 87 Turbo Coupe. More details: Donor car: 1989 Loyale Carbureted 5 speed manual trans with a HI 4 wd / LO 4wd / 2wd selection Recipient: 1987 Loyale Multi Point Fuel Injection, Turbocharged 5 speed manual trans with a push button 4wd As you can see, the transmissions are quite different and I have no idea if the CV axles are interchangeable. Looks like it won't fit then.
john in KY
Won't fit. The inner diameter and spline count are wrong.
