Should be a big plastic cover under the steering wheel about over your lower legs when driving. Remove it. Engine error led is visible in a hole in the ecu box, mounted to the bottom of the steering column. Count the long blinks and the fast blinks. That is the 2 digit error code.

A car sitting that long I would check the exauhst for restictions/mouse nest.

I had this happen on a brat that I worked on that sat for a couple years. I revved up the engine for a while and poof! Out came a nest.

Possible vaccume leak? Fuel filter? Air filter
