The dizzy is brand new, so is the control mod in it, 1st one lasted about 2 weeks, about the same amount of time with the 2nd one, 3rd one lasted about a month, pop again.

WHY OH WHY does it keep burning up the control mod in the dizzy need help PLEASE......... :(

May be a long shot, But I had an 83 Dodge van once and it Honestly melted 13 regulators and ruined 14 alternators!!

Poor parts guy must have really liked me.........I was ALOT younger then, and there was no internet to search....

Finally went to an Old guy( Love Old Guys' experience) He told me "It's not grounded properly".............Five bucks and a ground strap fixed my agonizing issue!! Possibly a bad ground, maybe rusted connection?? Body must be grounded to engine, frame, etc.

Good Luck!!

A few things come to mind.

1  Your coil is incompatible w/your distributor.

Some coils will draw more current than the ignition module can handle

2 Open plug/coil high tension wires or a very bad cap/rotor.

This can send high voltage  back into the module, destroying it.

Often, the car will run normally up to that point.

I`ve seen this failure mode several times.

3 Alternator overcharging?

   Voltage too high?

4 Check the ground wires as suggested.

How is the coil wired?  have you bypassed or altered the original wiring?  Fuel pump control unit?

And is the coil a stock subaru one?

Also....how are you determining that the module is "popping"? We need more details

I wired the fuel pump just by itself because it was burn up a fuse wire every time it would pop that mod, in the dizzy.

the coil is a cheaper the stock, accel super stock coil,

Bingo.

Get a proper coil.

Accel "racing" stuff is Junk......think about it.......Cheaper and made for short trip/infrequent use "racing".

Not day in day out 100's of thousands of miles.

I have never seen an original EA subaru coil fail.  I've seen it once in an EJ.

Not following you here.  If you've got fusible links burning........there is a short somewhere.  Again, how is the coil wired?  Did you tap in power to the pump from the Black/white wire to the coil?  It should be on a seperate circuit with a relay.....not direct to switched power at the coil.
