I am in need of a vacuum advance canister for an 85 carbed 2WD GL wagon. Anyone know where I can get one?

Not cheap - just take your old one to:
www.philbingroup.com
They will make it brand new again for $35

The whole distributor, or just the vacuum advance canister?

That's their price for just the advance unit. They open it up like a tin can, and replace the rubber inside. It's either $25 or $35 - it's on their site somewhere....

Frankly - depends on what you have them do, and what kind of mood they are in. The prices also vary acording to how much you look like you might have in your wallet. Pretty good guys tho.

Hmm.. Their prices for a vac. advance says 25 for single, 45 for double..
So by double they mean like what I have, where there is an Advance port and a Retard port, instead of just a single Advance port, right???

Go with Philbin; used and working vacuum advance units from a wrecking yard are rare and even if you find one, usually just a few months from failure. Price from Subaru is prohibitive.
