Quick pricing/value question on a few impreza items.

Recommended Posts

I've found a full kit, for a front pair of brake calipers/pad/rotors/guards (everything) for the RS, I was wondering how much that's worth. From the few classifieds posts I've found on Nasioc RS25 and here,

EDIT: turns out they are WRX calipers. I'm scooping for $90, fair deal?

Another seller has the front and rear swaybars with all nuts/bolts/brackets/bushings for an early bugeye WRX wagon, for $80. Seems about right..

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

if you don't already have up-sized rims, you 'might' need to also consider the cost of new rims to clear those calipers. I don't know if you will also need new brackets?

swaybar deal seems legit. do you get metal endlinks with it? Old resin endlinks might not survive the extra strain for long.

I was thinking about the endlinks, just because they are used, but didn't consider replacing them with anything besides stock spec parts.

Won't metal endlinks make ride noise?

As for rims and fitment, I already got that covered:

2001 RS rim specs:

Size: 16x7"

Offset: +53

1998 RS Rim Specs:

98-99 Impreza 2.5RS

Size: 16x7"

Offset: +53

EDIT:

"the 98-01 RS wheels will clear the calipers, with no spacers. They're JDM STi wheels and were designed for this purpose."

many items of an upgraded suspension will add NVH. The endlinks have bushings so, not really a big deal. You could just run what you have until one breaks, then get some kartboy or Whiteline w'ever endlinks. My kartboy links made no difference I could detect in noise.

But I had some prothane rear transverse link bushings on the wife's Outback and they were VERY noisy - got them changed out for Febest rubber units now. So, it kinda depends on where and what is being swapped out.

just wondering if they were in with the swaybar deal or not.

something to keep an eye on too.
