Sway bar extensions and disconnects

Recommended Posts

I finally just did a 2 inch on my webered 87 sedan, and I love it. But some questions arose when I got to looking a sway bar angles and what not.

Has anybody done extensions to keep their stock sway at angle on the front? Ive never read anything about it, but it the truck world you don't lift anything without extensions.

Secondly when you guys are wheeling are people keeping the sway bar hooked up or have someone rigged up disconnects to help with articulation and get a bit more travel?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

i've had my sway bar removed, and reinstalled it again, i can tell you i felt a whole bunch of nothing, so its your choice, i left it back on only because i like to keep my vehicle as stock as possible, but yes when usually lifting the vehicle they remove the sway bar, this is so the suspension can flex more and have more travel, the sway bar limits that which limits your clearance which makes it less "offroadish".
