There are many types of oils on the shelfs, just choose one that you and your vehicle like and stick with it, i just buy full synthetic high mileage O'reilly oil. i don't see the mobil or shell or castrol as any different, infact the castrol actually made my rear main seal leak more, so thats why i stick with high mileage oil to help with seals since it has additives.

don't stress yourself out with all the different types of oils and filters.

Some years back I came to the conclusion that their is NO bad engine oil for sale. Dino Oil is simply Oil with additives, and every company has their own secret recipe of additives to advertise that their oil is superb. I have used Wal-Mart house brand of oil for years with no issues, and saved a few bucks.

The biggest thing to remember about oil, is to change it, and the filter. I change dino oil between 2,000 and 3,000 miles, synthetic changes are about 5,000 for me. Failure to change oil is the greatest engine wear factor, and oil sludge build up factor, that there is. Be good to your car, and keep the oil changed on time.

Update. Just finished. I have done DIY oil changes for 30 years. All the manuals say the 3.6l has a capacity of 6.9 quarts (6.5l) of oil. I used a pneumatic oil extractor and got just 4 quarts out. Double triple checked the dip stick and it was definitely dry. Took the filter off and about another half quart was there. So I refill with Shell t6 and put 4 quarts in and measure with the dip stick. Slightly below full. Ran the engine. No leaks. Rechecked and added another .5 quart. Full. Where the hell is the other 2.5 quarts?

As an aside, the dealer so over tightened the filter and put red thread lock on the oil pan bolt. Impossible to get the oil pan bolt off and with great effort the filter.
