outandback Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Hello fellow subaru owners! I have a '96 outback wagon with ej22 sohc. it's got 206k and i've had it for about 7 years. I've decided to keep it since it runs so well rather than upgrade. replaced a fender, driver side door (girlfriend forgot to engage parking brake and it rolled into a pole!) ... fixed the cruise control, got the AC working again, swapped some firmer leather seats in, replaced the bulbs in the temp control unit lol! Going to put new timing belt / wp / cam/crank seals next weekend! Will be first time and am looking forward to it! Also thought to do valve cover gaskets and clean all the lash adjusters as well. oh and just changed my pcv valve and feels like a new engine! also want to get it on some jacks or lift and fix all the heat shield rattles anyway, looking forward to posting all my fails and pleas for help here! -Frank Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
