1983 subaru GL wagon dashboard wiring diagram?

Recommended Posts

I've searched through the old posts and have not found one with a working link for a wiring diagram.   More specifically a diagram showing the wires and what they do on the wire snake inside the dash. I'm looking to remove the radio internal lights and door sensors anything that is air conditioning and any other wires I can deem not needed.

Thanks for your help guys  you all rock!

Pm me and i will email you the copy I have. Its the same one most of us have with the missing pages. Are you building an off-roader and have the interior appart? Do you have a short or something? Stripping a harness is alot of work. Especially behind the dash. Heat shrink is cheap cap em off.

Building a super light AWD racer of some kind. Taking it in steps as my money comes in. Figured since it won't cost much to just go ahead and remove all wiring that isnt going to be used.  Gotta replace some floor pans and fill in the floor for some rhinoliner.

I got a page that says Brumby on the bottom left corner. Not sure if thats the same one you have. It just seems there were some wires missing.   It shows there only being 1 speaker and I have 4.  I want to remove all 4 speakers and wires. And if possible I want to remove the wires for the A/C Though mine wasn't equipped it says it is built with the option so I'm sure some of the wires and parts are there.  Most of the other wires I just need to clip and replace due to bad connections/old wires.

I've got the dashboard completely removed and have rerun the snake to keep it out of the way.  I'm designing a custom dash to house the aftermarket gauges (Once I figure out how to do all that too!)    I've got a long road ahead of me.  And I have the worst time remembering to snap some progress photos to show you guys.  Hopefully I can remember today before I get much further.

Anyways  PM sent just in case you have a different diagram then mine.
