Smpol19
I've got an 88GL that I'm in the process of replacing, I'm looking at newer used impreza's, i've found one with everything looking good, its in good shape and has everything i want. the only problem i see with it is one tire doesn't match the other 4 i've been under the impression that you never want to do this with AWDs it doesn't look like its been on there to long and i would replace all 4 if i buy it, could this have caused permant damage to the drive train. it seems to drive well i just don't want it to last forever like my old one. thanks all. If anyone needs a Carfax run i've got that for another couple of weeks just let me know...
Setright
I would be suspicious, the previous owner obviously didn't know how to treat the AWD. Maybe the same person has performed handbrake turns. Which is a surefire way to destroy the central diff.
