subaru forever
Can a aftermarket oxygen sensor be used .? Or oem only? Is the oxygen from a 95 wagon the same for a 2001 forester?
desertsubaru
Better off using OE because most others are a waste of money. Rock auto has DENSO Part # 2345003. 95 will not work.

subaru forever
What type of transmussion used in a 2001 a-t forester.going to do a drain and fill.should i use lucis stuff?
johnceggleston
no additives are recommended. just new clean ATF. in the 90s it was dex 3, i assume for 00 - 04 it would be something similar, or slightly newer / better. it does not need to be high $$ specialty stuff. check the owner's manual. the trans does have an external filter, but there is NO schedule for replacing it. and they can be difficult to remove. also it is NOT the same as an engine oil filter. if you decide to replace it, make sure you have every thing you need before you start. because the old one may tear up during removal, and then you are stuck, can't drive. i would not replace it unless there was a really good reason. just being old is not a good reason in my opinion. good luck.
