I can only say good things about how this show went.  Mother Nature and Father Time were against me all day.  Starting with missing the morning boat by 30 seconds because of a bus that took forever to load 4 people.  lol  Then a late boat, then behind ferry traffic at 10 under most of the way.

I stopped in at the cabin to show my buddy the trails and stuff.   The road there was a treacherous one, constant falling limbs and trees all around us.  We got hit by debris a couple of times, dodged all sorts of fallen limbs.  We had to stop 2 times just to get to the cabin to push fallen trees out of the way.  We bailed on the cabin, the REALLY GNARLY gusts were knocking stuff down all around us.  Scary barely describes it.  We had to stop two more times on the dirt road to the main road to clear fallen trees.  The second so big we had to wait for a chain saw to show.

After a windy drive to PT, we found the way into the Show was closed because of fallen trees.  So we drove WAY around, and after two more closed roads, found a back way in.

I was really happy to be greeted by so many familiar faces and friends, I got a lot of hugs.  It was awesome to talk to  a few of you like I got to.  I mean that.

I can only say the staff did pretty frikkin awesome with keeping it together through the wind storm and rains that surely came last night.  There was no power, but nobody notices, everybody just seemed to be having a great time.  Me included.

The spotlight shined on me for a second at the awards show, which makes me uncomfortable, but that's not why I left.  We were out of beer and didn't wanna be sponges.  lol  Well, that and the news was saying the ferries were down because of all the power outages and we might be in for a really long drive through crazy busy traffic.  We did not come prepared to spend the night.

We made it to the Kinston Ferry safely and didn't have to wait for one, they only let 2 cars on behind us, perfect time to leave.  30 more seconds of hanging around woulda cost us a long wait for the next one.

Thanks for the call Craig, you made the drive home.

you are correct about the Justy.. It was only the second I have seen in 14 shows that I have attended. And the first Tribeca that I can recall.  As for the Ornament I have no idea  Looks like pistons and connecting rods but I didn't really look until you mentioned it.

If anybody wants to post links to videos or photos as well I would also be interested since my phone memory was unfortunately full and I didn't get a bunch of pictures. I have many friends who didnt show because of power outages and they want mud pit movies and show photos. Particularly if anyone has any photos or video that helps display the overall size of the show.

That right-hand drive EA81 RX coupe with the rally decals is seriously rare! I wonder if it's still got the factory works EA81S engine with the twin Weber IDF downdraughts?

Would have been epic seeing the late Possum Bourne driving this in the 1982 Rally of New Zealand...

It's basically a wheel stand made of old connecting rods. Pretty rad idea, never would have occurred to me.

Do you have more info about it?

Also seems like it is the First time I see a Tribeca and a Justy on a WCSS.

Kind Regards.

Jes, He just set this up so he could show off his brake/wheel setup.

It was a normal to us left hand drive.  Pretty much a run of the mill coupe that had replica decals installed.
