teasdam Posted May 29, 2004 Share Posted May 29, 2004 The oil pressure thingy on the bottom front of the oil pump is leaking and needs to be replaced. I've been looking around on the web but it doesn't look like anyone sells them. I hate to pay dealer prices but is this a dealer-only item? Anyone know who's got them cheaper? Partsman Posted May 31, 2004 Share Posted May 31, 2004 Have you guys got oil pressure lights? That one goes for $8. There is a second line Napa one for gauge listed (wasn't at work to check for last post) for $22, but nothing cheaper. If the leak is around the threads, teflon tape would work - but so might just tightening it up. They are pipe threads - designed to be torqued on. If the leak is coming out the body of the sender, then it's time to start shopping. Of course, if it were me, I might just head to the local Pick-N-Pull for one...
