iluvdrt Posted August 26, 2016 Author Share Posted August 26, 2016 SO I got tired of the regular headlights and poor output and decided to build some real HID projector lights. I bought a kit off of Amazon, and some housings. Than using my dremel, drill and some Fuji bond made my own housings for them. Turned out pretty great! I love the light output. I also installed LED's into every socket that would normally contain a light bulb. The end result is that now even with my head lights on I am pulling less than 2 amps from the alternator, I have WAY better visibility at night, and my MPG's increase 2 mpg due to there being less load on the electrical system. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Quicker revs, more dependable, and way better throttle response. Well worth it and pretty easy to do. This was at the Menoche Jeep trail in the Sierra Nevada Mtns. The elevation was really high (8500') and although thmy weber is jetted for sea level (performance jetting) I was able to make some air/ fuel adjustments that allowed it to run this high. It was very anemic at times, especially going up hill so I think this Ol' girl is going to receive a EJ22 in her future.
