New guy from Ottawa, Canada

Recommended Posts

Giday, Lads.  New guy here from Ottawa Canada. I've stuffed an EJ22 into the back of an old Porsche Speedster replica. Used the Kennedy adapter right onto a stock VW transmission, ripped out the FI and installed a Weber 32/36. Ignition is Ford EDIS running thru a Megajolt system. Saab rad up front and I've got a nice heater installed too. I

was lucky enough to find a hardtop for the car too. We've done over 75,000 km in the last five years.

Everything works pretty well but I'm bored and thinking of an upgraded transmission and a Frankenmotor this winter.

First and last photos are with earlier paint colour. Hardtop pic is new colour

Yep, it's a fiberglass body. This car is old, like 1978 and was built in California. Intermeccanica has since moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada.

My car is based on a 1967 VW chassis. New IM's are custom tube chassis. My car weighs just under 1,800 with a quarter tank of gas.

It's a lot of fun and we travel in it a lot. We get good respect from any local mechanic because of the low bucks Soob conversion. It's not

a show car...it's a long distance driver.
