Bratmobile Posted November 21, 2015 Share Posted November 21, 2015 Recently put new front tires on my 86 Brat and noticed a distinct change in handling ~very sloppy. It seemed fine prior to that. Initially thought of front end alignment issues. Took it to a shop & here's the real problem: severely worn rack and pinion bushings. Shop tech has been searching for the parts to no avail.& so have I for most of the morning. Debating contacting suppliers in Australia for "Brumby" parts as a guy I met from Brisbane at a car show said that Brumby's are everywhere down there. Looks as tho the parts are still semi available.
