98 Outback ABS sensor re learn or light re set?

Recommended Posts

My mechanic over extended a front CV shaft an didn't catch it before we drove it. I replaced the shaft but the ABS light has stayed on. Brakes work fine. Speedometer works fine. I haven't pulled a code yet I figured it got a false reading an would re set after driving. It's been over 200 miles the light is still on.

Damaged sensor, or damaged Reluctor wheel.

Also I can't remember when the switch was, but around 98-99 they switched from a reluctor wheel on the hub to a reluctor on the axle. If the axle that was installed doesn't have the tone wheel it will set the light, but only after you start moving.
