AngusAmangus
I believe the aforementioned part on my '84 wagon is faulty. I know I'll need to replace it at some point but have been unable to find the correct part online. I see many which are labeled as Nissan or Datsun. Will any of those work? Thanks for the help. nipper
Are there any markings on yours? All it is is a solenoid with a needle valve. Why do you think yours is bad? Nissan or datsun part will work
AngusAmangus
Thanks for the response. There are no markings. I thought it bad because my car will run while moving or warming up, but will not idle. This condition had a sudden onset while driving. However, I just had a friend help me by turning the car on while I listened for a click from the solenoid, and it seems to be engaging. Do you have any ideas of what else could cause those symptoms? nipper
Dirt in the carb, time for a rebuild?
AngusAmangus
Do you think that would cause this problem to occur that suddenly? I haven't had any carburetor problems before.

BEECHBM69
You can also gut it (remove the spring and pin) with nominal ill effects. Even if only as a short term measure to determine if that is indeed your issue. Dan
