IsraBrat
What do you guys think about using a couple of those for a dual carb setup? witch sort of looks something like that under a couple of those sort of hood scoop vents concerning rain and dust will this setup works? MorganM
That would be some kick'n air intake action. I say go for it. Might be more looks then function but how can you say no to hood louvers? Put a screen under them to keep out bugs and other small debris in the air. Concerning rain you can make a little plate that covers them up from behind to seal them when its pooring rain. The plate would then go on under the screen.
one eye
That looks like it will work well. The only problem is the rain, I have a weber on my brat with a 2"x16" hole in the hood. Yesterday there was water in the distr. and carb , thing would not run. But you probably don't get much rain where you're at. Looks like it will be cool. subyrally
thats nuts, i see no reason it wouldnt work. i have a very simular setup on my impreza, i removed the backing plate on the hood scoop and put a k&n cone filter with a short extansion built into it right onto the throttle body, ive had no problems with rain. you will want to put a screen in the scoops to keep out bugs and birds.
