81EA81
I finally got a start to making a bumper for my EA82. I used 1 1/2" square tube 3/16" wall for most of it. Then 1/4" plate on the sides. I plan to cover it with 1/8" plate to clean it up abit.
Uberoo
Looks good but anything over 1/8" wall is overkill on something like a toyota or jeep, 3/16 or 1/4 wall on a subaru is redonkulus.

Uberoo
'splain to me how 3/16" wall tube that mounts to 3 layers at best of subaru 22 gauge steel is anything but redunkulus?
ferp420
I agree with ubaroo that's a lot of steel but if its mounted to the car with enuff screws and enuff surface area it might not tear the body apart the factory bumper mounts won't cut it by them selves in a minor impact its best to have a little give in the bumper so the body doesn't give would you rather have a killer bumper and replace the car every time you test the bumper or have a nice car and just replace or repair the bumper when you deside to test it out Edited December 18, 2016 by ferp420
