The family's legacy continues with a Legacy

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm new here on the USMB forums. I am also a part of the SL-i Forums as well. Our family has always driven a Subaru at some point in time. It started with my grandfather, who owns a 78 Leone Coupe and two Subaru Brats. My mother got a Subaru as her first car. I think it was an 88 Justy. My mother wrecked her Justy (avoiding a deer, causing it to roll) Then my Grandmother ended up getting a first gen legacy. Fast forward to 2012, my parents bought a 2012 Outback (later trading it in for a 2017 WRX). Then once I was able to drive I picked up a nice 98 Legacy for $1500. I love it and plan to hang on to it for as long as possible.

Welcome to the forum mate!

It's amazing to hear how many people know subarus from their family's ownership... I'm not one of those :( But we did spend a lot of time flogging a fugly ("gen1") brumby in my neighbours paddocks when we were teenagers! And I recently found out my wife's dad once owned an early my wagon - saw it in a family pic, just enough of a photo bomb for me to recognise what it is.

What's the grand plan? Maintain/lift and offroad/lower and turbo conversion? So many ways to play with these vehicles it's not funny!

Cheers

Bennie
