dp213 Posted October 16, 2016 Share Posted October 16, 2016 I have a 99 Forester engine that I want to put into a 2000 outback. Only thing I'm not sure of is the oil filter on the Forester motor. It has a big adapter with a couple hoses running to it, where the outback doesn't. Looks like I can just pull the adapter, but 1 hose goes right into the block. ocei77 Posted October 17, 2016 Share Posted October 17, 2016 I don't quite understand the issue. If you have a Forester engine with oil cooler, everything should be there. The OB body wouldn't make a difference. Are you mixing engine parts? If so follow advice above^. When I get to another place, I have an engine that I put the oil cooler on, so I can take a pic.
