I want to have it hooked up to a manual switch so i can turn it on when i need a lil more boost, for say on the highway. In theory it should work. What you're missing is the difference bewteen a fan and a compressor - they are not even remotely close to the same thing. It'll help in the long run to learn a little bit about ICE's, the difference between fans and compressors, and how and why FI works.
