So upon rigging up a temporary exhaust and installing the o2 sensors after my 99 legacy brighton wagon experienced a clogged cat and bogged down and me going through the rigorous process of trying to get it back on it's tread, I noticed a wire hanging down in my engine bay, just sitting on the exhaust I finished bolting up.

Anybody know what it is, what it does? Is it the reason my car isn't starting?

we need a little more information . better pictures. Your first one is very clear of your fingers ... the next i'm not sure what we are supposed to see?  I do see the wire going down to the o/2 sensor ... is that the one ?

The first one is a head on shot of what the sensor looks like. The second one is a shot taken from the passenger fender of the car and I attempted to show where the wire went to in correlation with the engine harness. I'll have better pictures posted tomorrow when this storm blows over. yeesh
