hey everyone, i'm Johnny (bet you'd never guess that lol). i'm from Rochester NY. new to the forums here but have been in the subaru community for a little over 5 years. i'm an active member in our local group and one of the OG's in the area.

a little about me...i'm a union laborer. 28yrs old. self taught mechanic. complete gear head (to the point i sometimes annoy friends or even strangers with car talk). i like camping, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. i play volleyball and men's bar league softball. i'm a metal head \\m//

now the good stuff. my cars:
first subaru i bought was my 2008 wrx premium. i put about $5k into it in modifications. unfortunately due to a few bad work years i was forced to sell my baby and miss it every day.

my second was a 98 impreza obs. bone stock and rotten to hell. paid $750 for it with 205k miles. sold it after driving it for 10k miles for $500. used it as my daily to protect the wrx since construction sites are dangerous for nice cars.

after selling that i bought an 03 legacy l wagon. not my best purchase...needed a clutch the day i bought it which the PO did not diclose and i never got to test drive. shortly after i ran completely dry of oil and realized the head gaskets were toast. also needed some body work, so i fixed it all up and sold it and managed to break even.

my current subaru and daily driver is a 99 obs. i just love that bodystyle, and the wagon suits my need. i bought this from a friend. its ej251 swapped (from an 02 forester) with wrx shifter, wrx seats, and some fun exterior mods. it used to be slammed on coilovers, but when i bought it those stayed with my buddy. i ended up getting wrx (saabaru) struts and eibach lowering springs. after a month and some conversation with my friend, we decided to lift our cars so i swapped them for some sf5 suspension. i wanted to do it with my first wagon but the car wasn't worth the time and money. now that i have one worthy of the project, i've gone to work on it.

my non-subaru car is a 1987 mazda rx7. 13b rotary which i rebuilt and ported myself. lots of time and money in this as well.

sorry for the long intro. i guess i was kinda bored haha
