spicypeanut Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Hey all, My EA71 with weber has been running pretty lean. Lean enough that its tough to start once its been sitting for a few days. Rallyru Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Looking at the front of the car, the adjustment screw is pointed about 45degrees to the passenger side. Almost directly at the distributor. Screw it out to add more fuel. start in small infringements. Like 1/4-1/2 turn and continue until you're satisfied. Rallyru Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Weber calls it the Idle Air mixture screw but it controls AF for any throttle position besides wide open throttle. spicypeanut Posted February 11, 2017 Author Share Posted February 11, 2017 Ah okay. Thank for the replies. I haven't had a chance to go over and play with it yet, tomorrow I get to. While it does starve for fuel on cold starts, I'm pretty sure its not as "powerful" as it used to be (or so to speak). And I noticed it after I had it adjusted so it would pass smog. I bet if we richen it up all will be better. I'll let you knowhow it turns out. Maybe I should make another quick vid so others can see... spicypeanut Posted February 13, 2017 Author Share Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) Is the adjustment screw a narrow brass flat head screw that sort of juts out all by itself on the passenger side almost where the distributer is?
