retorquing of head bolt in an EA82?

Recommended Posts

Per the service manual for the EA82 engine, it states to retorque the head bolts after the engine has warmed and cooled after new gaskets are installed.

My question is has there been a new and improved / effective way to torque the bolts during the initial installation so the retorquing is no longer necessary?  I'm hoping there is experience and success by torquing the head bolts initially  therefore, disassembly to retorque is not required.

Any suggestions and insight is appreciated.

Thank you
