Recommended Posts

running rich id check jet sizes in said 3236. when is it running rich? idle? part throttle? full throttle? should be 140/140 mains, 170 primary air, 160 secondary air corrector, 50 main idle 55 secondary idle. f50 emulsion tubes. then lean it out.

I finally got my brat running, webber 32 36 running rich, any ideas why? Thanks in advance

+1 for making sure you have correct jets.

Look into this link... there should be a trouble shooting guide near the bottom http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/161649-ea81-weber-conversion-writeup/?do=findComment&comment=1347335

It's running rich at idle, haven't gotten any further then that, the amount of fuel seen coming out of the primary venturi looks to be about five times the amount coming out the venturi on my proper running wagon. Fuel pressure is correct. Whom is best to call about replacement jets if these are incorrect, thanks.

After removing my carb I discovered I few things, the fuel in the bowl was very old, (residual gas in lines left after pumping tank dry), a vacume leak(certainly dosn't help matters) and lastly the float was a bit high. Thanks 87 bomber for the jet size verification it was essential to eliminate that question. The car runs mint now!
