My new outback

Recommended Posts

Hi I
got myself a 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5i with 60,000 miles. Overall, it is much better car than anything I ever owned. There’s one really annoying thing though – do I really have to press the unlock button twice to unlock all doors? I checked the manual but found nothing. Can it be somehow reprogrammed to unlock the whole car?

I personally don't think you can change that... At least you couldn't on older models.

It was so one press let's the driver in, and if you wanted to unlock them all you do the double press and all unlock.

Maybe with the newer models in the car its possible? If so if you (as the owner) could do it, it'd probably be in the owners manual. If it's even a option/feature to change that, and no in your manual. It would likely require a dealership to use the oem scan tool to change it.

Hey how are you liking the 2015 Outback? I'm looking to buy one...and considering buying a higher mileage because they are still so costly used. Looking to get something just under 20K.  Wondering if your experience with a 60K mileage vehicle was good in the first year. Any maintenance issues?

thanks

That year is pretty good. No real engine issues, some people report transmission issues, but if you do a transmission flush or service on it when you get it, you'll be fine.

These newer Subaru's, especially the outbacks. Seem to be more reliable then most if not all of their predecessors.

Sparks plugs are due for maintenance at 60k FYI.
