Do Rear springs sit on strut directly or have a rubber seat?

Is that right or should there be a lower rubber spring seat?
almost positive I've seen it both ways in the past so which way is "right"?
Seems like it should have one. It'll give me a 0.02" lift right?!

yes EA82 rear springs sit directly on perch.
Upper hat has a rubber
