idosubaru Posted July 17, 2017 Share Posted July 17, 2017 I would disconnect the heater element connector under the seat. You could also pull a fuse if it's not shared with other, or other necessary, components. Owners Manul in glove box will have a section on fuses and should show which one is for the heated seats. gbhrps Posted July 18, 2017 Share Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) vsmith63, Obviously the switch has a direct short, is jammed/welded in the on position, or the wiring from the switch to the heater has a direct short to power. Should be an easy fix to diagnose where the issue is. Broken wires in the seat heater element are the most common issue with seat heaters, but in that case, they won't work at all, or only at a lower heat setting.
