Just bought a used 98 Legacy and rushing through last minute details, I'd like to power up my cell phone during a long drive tomorrow. Can I plug one of those adapters into the lighter, or is there another plug for accessories somewhere?? ( my manual is lost ) and what's the voltage--I'm a complete dolt when it comes to cars and gizmos. Need to run over to walgreens I guess as soon as I figure this out. Thanks.

Yeah. Use the Cigarette light port. It supplies 12v.

^^^ what they said

none of them come stock with power if the key is off however.

some folks modify them for all-time power.

try to buy a quality adapter - I have read of cheap ones that wiggle too much or w'ever and short out and blow the little 'fusistor' on the back of the power port. nuisance to hazard issue.
