another compatibility question?

 will the fuel level sensor and pump assembly from the 2002 outback work in a 1998 outback? my pump is technically fine but the level sender is malfunctioning causing a p0463 engine light code.

Check at http://opposedforces/parts for your car then check the where used option and it will show if they are interchangable

That will also be a good starting point for interchangeability.

Also to verify yourself - google image search and look at bolt pattern and electrical connectors.

i wasent too worried about the connectors i could solder new wires if needed the part i wanted to use was the level sensor. does it work the same way and could it be adapted to fit on my current pump assembly.
