Doc Dino Posted October 11, 2017 Share Posted October 11, 2017 I have a 1995 Impreza wagon with the 1.8L. It blew out the Driver side rear Spark plug. Took it to a local shop that found it probably already had been Heli-coil repaired as the one they got to put in my engine wouldn't fit, hole too big. Is there another way to fix it on the cheap? They asked about looking for a replacement Head but I don't hold out much hope. I know the 95 - 96 came with a 2.2L option also & have found one locally from a 2000 ... Or post in the classifieds here for a used head. 2000 motor will definitely not work. For a replacement engine, depends if your car is OBD1 or OBD2.
