Hello, does anyone know if a 02 SOHC engine will work in a 99 legacy that is equipped with a DOHC engine (both 2.5) I ask because there are two cars on Craigslist that need engines with good bodies and I have a good engine in my 02 I suspect wiring diffrences would be the only factor. Thanks

Totally different engine management

Intakes will not swap between the two.

Really need a DOHC 96-99 2.5 for the 99 DOHC car.  Or an Phase I 2.2.

SOHC 2.5 will fit all 4cy legacy/Outbacks 2000-2005, and 99-2005 Forresters
