Metalpiper416 Posted January 14, 2018 Share Posted January 14, 2018 Hello, I am new here and a new subaru owner, I live where it snows alot and want a little more ground clearance on my 1992 loyale, I'm wondering how much lifting it 2-4" and maybe put a few sizes larger of tires on it how much is it going to affect my gas milage? I have a lifted 86 GL that gets around 36 mpg on the highway (ej22 swap) with the factory 13s I am considering removing the 2" lift from my car. Previous owner installed a homemade lift with brackets on the strut and metal blocks between the body and frame. If I do, I'll sell you the parts for cheap. It's great when off roading, but I don't do it nearly often or crazily enough. It's too hard on the passenger side axle for my liking. If I decide to take the lift off and you want to buy it I have some really nice chevy six lug 15" wheels that have been drilled for 4 x 140 that I will sell you for cheap too if you like that look, they are very similar to the white star wheels from the factory I guess it all depends on if my ex gf can find my factory skidplate and return it to me, the lift is cool and I like the way it makes her look so it's a tough decision for me but she is on the street a lot more than off road, and these cars have good enough ground clearance already for me. But the 2'' lift is subtle and I haven't had a chance to try those 15s yet. I dunno what to do... Cheers man! It's not like the one on sjr lift, this lift is rather chintzy in comparison to his. I don't know what your budget is, but the lift that he sells look like it's worth every penny of a little more than $300 he does good work. I bought his ej swap kit and was very happy. That being said, this lift has never given me problems... How about $200 and you pay shipping with the wheels or $75 for just the lift stuff sound to you? I'm honestly still on the fence, I do like the slightly lifted look, even with the 13s and I would really like to try the 15s before removing the lift.
