This pilot bearing was included in my clutch kit for my 1984 GL 4wd . .  I did not take a part off the car like this... that I know of!

The outside diameter is 16mm.   Does the 1984 4wd GL use this bearing?    I do not want to complete the engine installation, and then find that this should have been included in the assembly.

Do I need it?  More importantly, does my car need it?

You do not need that. Looks like a packaging mistake.

About 25 years ago, I had a Gen 1 Brat ('79 I think) that had a pilot bearing  like that.

You may have gotten the wrong diameter clutch for the previous narrow case 1600’s.
Small needle bearing ? The clutch disk ok for you ? Or maybe 180mm ?

Yeah that’s the old school bearing. Edit

I got one of those too a few months ago when I got my clutch kit. Good to know it wasn’t something I needed.

Also tagged with one or more of these keywords: clutch, kit, pilot, bearing, 1984, 4wd
