arracado Posted June 29, 2004 Share Posted June 29, 2004 I currently own a 91 Legacy wagon. It's pushing 200K miles, and we are ready for an upgrade. I'm not a big fan of the Outback's style, I prefer the more standard wagon look. What is the last year that the standard wagon was produced before the style changed to the current Outback style? mattocs Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 That is a 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback. I got it with 90,000 miles on it (April of 2004) for about $6,000. It is a 5 speed. You can check out more picturs of it at http://www.mattocs.net/Subaru/ When I was car shopping I was looking for a mid-90's Legacy sedan with a 5 speed and the EJ22...but that outback caught my eye...I think its that wing/spoiler on the hatch that makes it look cool... A couple months ago I got a new 2004 Legacy 35th Anniversary wagon, I also prefer a standard station wagon to the jacked up "Outback" look. It's great, they make a lot of them.
